Late Justice Ajanah
The Kogi state government and Speaker of the House of Assembly have described the demise of Chief Judge, as a heavy below to the people of the state, the judicial and his family in particular.
The state commissioner of Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo in a statement said that government received the news of the death of the legal luminary with a rude shock describing the sad incident as a colossal loss.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole said he received with sadness and shock the news of the sudden demise of Justice Ajanah which occurred Sunday morning after a brief illness.
The Speaker who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Femi Olugbemi, said it is devastating and painful for the state to lose yet another great personality in the legal world, describing his death at this time as a colossal loss to the entire nation.
The commissioner noted that until his death, Ajana was a brilliant justice throughout his career as a Judge and his tenure as the Chief Judge of Kogi State.
Fanwo disclosed that the state government will work with the family of the late Chief Judge to give him a befitting burial noting that “His shoes will be difficult to fill”
The Speaker described Ajanah as a courageous, outstanding legal luminary and administrator who consistently upheld the rule of law, which has made the state to stand out among the comity of States Judiciary in Nigeria.
He condoled with governor Yahaya Bello, the government of Kogi State, Ajanah’s immediate family and the government and people of Okene Local Government over the demise of their father, illustrious son and outstanding legal luminary, stressing that he will be greatly missed.
