Supreme Court Voids Ihedioha’s Election, Declares APC Uzodinma, Winner

The Peoples Democratic Party Governor of Imo state, Governor Emeka Ihedioha  has been sent packing from government House and the All Progressives Congress candidate in the March 9, 2019 election declared governor, courtesy of the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The apex court voided the election of Emeka Ihedioha’s as the governor of Imo State and ordered that Hope Uzodinma of the APC be sworn in immediately as validly elected governor.

Reading the lead judgment of the court, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, directed the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, to issues a Certificate of Return to Uzodinma
