Soldier, Three Others Feared Dead In Gunmen Attack on Jonathan’s Home

A soldier and three of the gunmen who launched an attack at the Otueke country home of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Ogbia Local Governmnet Area of Bayelsa state on Tuesday are feared dead.

The yet to be identified gunmen reportedly launched the attack from the river whose bank fringes the courtyard of Jonathan’s home. They were said to have come to house in five speed boats and immediately opened fire on the soldiers who run a check point at the waterside.  In the ensuing gun battle, one of the soldiers was killed while three of the gunmen died and others escaped with gunshot wounds.

killing one of the soldiers however prevented from breaking into the home by soldiers on duty but in the exchange of gunfire between, one of the guards died while three of the gunmen were killed.
