Hundreds of Nigerians protesting against privatization of electricity, crazy, estimated electricity bills, lack of prepaid meters and attack on community activists resisting DISCO oppression took to the streets of Lagos on Monday to express their anger which has boiled over following ignored protests on social media across the country.
Carrying placards and banners screaming boldly their demands; “Monthly Bills are becoming higher than monthly House Rent”, “EKDC Enough is Enough”, “No to Crazy Bills, Revolution Now…”, the protesters and activists marched from Ojota bus stop in Lagos to the State House of Assembly where they blocked the entrance for two hours before the Majority Leader, Hon Sanai Agunbiade, and Chief Whip, Hon. Rotimi Abiru, came out to listen to their demands and promised to deliver their message to President Muhammadu Buhari.
