Governor Abubakar
The Bauchi State Youths Forum has sued for the re-election of Governor Mohammed Abubakar for what the deemed continuity and sustenance of the people oriented policies of his government.
Spokesman of the group, Abdullahi Zabala disclosed this during his interactive session with Journalists in Jos at the weekend.
The group said they were mobilizing mass rally to support the candidature of governor Abubakar because Bauchi its believe and trust in his leadership.
“You would recalled that a group of opposition parties in Bauchi that allegedly supported the election of governor Abubakar in 2015, said they’re organizing to work against him in 2019, but I can tell you that in Bauchi state, we do not have opposition party because all the political in the state have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and they’re drumming for Governor Abubakar. Among them are two former governors of the state, Ahmadu Mu’azu who is also a former National chairman of PDP, Mallam Isa Yuguda a former governor, who also served as head of service of the federation.”
“The former Minister of Defence and former secretary to the government of the federation Alhaji Mahmoud Yayale Ahmed, a former deputy governor and onetime speaker of the state assembly, former senator and Senator Babayo Garba Gamawa among others are all in the APC, are in full support of the incumbent governor. Therefore we are not threatened by the gang up by a minor minority political parties.”
Zabala,pointed out that, governor Abubakar transform Bauchi state, revamp the educational sector , boost agricultural with his landmark achievement in infrastructural development.
“The renovation of Bauchi State polytechnic that was abandon and lacked accreditation of its courses has been repositioned as a modern institution with state –of-the –art facilities. The Gen Hassan Katsina unity school has been transformed, and upgraded to a technical institution and construction is still ongoing.”
He said the Bauchi state governor is ready to pay the N30, 000 new minimum wage to civil servants in the state when it’s passed into law.
Zabala stressed that the health sector is the greatest beneficiary of the infrastructural and facility development of the state as “ 19 out of the 20 local governments areas in the stat has functional hospitals.”
Zalaba who is popularly known as “Maimatasan Bauchi, meaning, advocate of Bauchi youth” call on Bauchi electorates, particularly the youths, whom according to him have benefited immensely in the APC Mohammed Abubakar’s led administration, to massively vote for him on the March 2 governorship poll.
