Police Arrest Two Armed Robbers Suspects In Kogi

The police have arrested two armed robbery suspects belonging to the gang terrorizing the residents of Ganaja area of Lokoja suburb have been arrested by the police.

The arrest was made possible following a tip- off received from members of the public that the hoodlums were sighted dispossessing people of their valuables at gun point in the area.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for  Kogi Police Command, Williams Aya  which was made available to journalists in Lokoja,  indicated that the police acted on the information received which aided the operatives attached to Federal Anti-Robbery Squad ( FSARS ) in Kogi State led by its Commander, DSP Babagana Bukar  to promptly swung into action and arrested the duo of Abubakar Sadiq and Ufedo Jacob while other members escaped.

The statement also confirmed that the suspects confessed to the crime while the items recovered from them include, One (1) Locally made pistol, One (1) live cartridge and One (1) red unregistered Motobi Motorcycle.

It assured that the police will not relent in its efforts to arrest other members of the gang currently on the run.

The statement also said that the arrested suspects would be arraigned in court.
