Dr. Anya Kalu, an All Progressive Congress (APC) aspirant for Ohafia South State Constituency in the 2019 general election has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had never meant well for the constituency.

Kalu stated this while speaking to our correspondent on his aspiration in his country home in Elu Ohafia, Ohafia Local Government Area, saying the people have had enough of the party’s attitude towards them.

He said the only thing that had always mattered to the party in the constituency for the past 19 years since the inception of the present democratic dispensation in the country was the people’s votes during elections.

“After using the massive votes to win election, the government will forget about the people and the party’s electioneering promises to them completely until next campaign period,” said the financial expert.

“This is why I want to go there. The challenges must be brought to the notice of the governments. Our people can no longer live without those things governments are in place to provide,” he added.

The financial expert, who accepted that his duty will be limited to making and will not include awarding of contracts, added that he would use the platform to attract development to the constituency.

He enumerated the areas he would add value to include agriculture, commerce and industry, skills acquisition and youth empowerment, education, health, tourism and sports development.
