An All Progressive Congress (APC), Chieftain, Col Kaswe Sunday, rtd, has urged the membership and leadership of the All Progressive Congress APC to imbibe the virtue tolerance to tackle internal party wrangling and fight poverty in the land.
He stated that though the ongoing defection by some members of party was nothing new in the polity, he urged the defectors to stay put and assist the party to grow and fulfill its party people friendly promises to the people.
Speaking in an interview with some journalists at the premises of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, state council on Monday in Jos, he pointed out that the crisis rocking the APC should addressed by the leadership by focusing more on people oriented programmes.
Kanke who is an aspiring to represent Kanke Constituency in the House of Assembly through the 2019 poll, said he has impacted positively on the grassroots in the area of employment and empowerment programme.
According to him, Nigeria leaders should emphasize on programme that have direct impact on the welfare of the people and add value to their well-being.
He said: “Government should focus more on building confidence in the lives of the most vulnerable people in the society rather than embarking on elephant projects which has nothing to add to the development of the society.”
