Governor Ortom
The Benue State government has sued the state branch of the cattle breeders association at the state High Court, Makurdi in its attempt to find lasting solution to to the repeated killings and destruction of property occasioned by farmer/ herdsmen clashes in the state.
Governor Samuel Ortom, who disclosed this to journalists in Makurdi on Monday said the government took the action in the face of helplessness arising from the “inability of the security agencies to stop the killings”
“We have to put an end to the provocation and attack given the inability of the security to curb it. We have sued them at the Makurdi High Court so that they will be prevented by the court”
