From Joseph Amedu, Lokoja

The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Muhammed Gambo, has appealed to party members to participate in the ongoing e-registration exercise, stressing that it is the only valid proof of membership.
Addressing journalists at a press conference in Lokoja, Gambo said the window for registration remains open and called on Local Government and Ward Chairmen to intensify sensitization to ensure no member is left out.
“Very soon, the party will begin its primaries. Only registered members will be eligible to vote and to be voted for,” he stated. “The only proof to be a PDP member lies solely in taking part in this registration.”
The chairman expressed appreciation to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, for her support for the registration drive. He said it would be a disservice for any loyal member not to register.
He described PDP as party “back on stream” and working hard to reclaim its dominance in Kogi State, Gambo emphasizing the need for unity and inclusiveness within the party structure.
He also affirmed that the PDP remains one under its recognized leadership, urging members to key into the process to strengthen the party ahead of future elections.
