Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State
Residents of Lokoja Local Government area of Kogi state have been advised to be committed to their civic responsibility in the prompt payment of their taxes.
They have also been called upon for more support to the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Mohammad Ndasabe administration for the delivery of democracy dividends.
The treasurer, Lokoja Local Government, Alhaji Adoga Isah Ibrahim made the appeal from the side line of New Year message to the people of the state.
Adoga explained that when the citizens make it as a culture to pay their taxes it would enable Governments to access fund to be re-directed in the provision of human and infrastructural development.
According to him” You know government at all levels need the full support of the citizenry as it is foundamental for residents to pay their taxes to enable Governments to deliver on her mandates.
” The government needs Internal Generated Revenue IGR to be able to create job opportunities, prompt payment of worker’s salary and the provision of social amenities to the areas’.
The Lokoja Local Government Treasurer while felicitated with Governor Yahaya Bello ,his New Direction team, Chairman of Lokoja Local Government ,Hon.
Mohammed Ndasabe ,his management team and the generality of the citizens for their entrance into the New Year despite challenges of 2020
“Even his intentions -Governor Yahaya Bello- as the people nationwide are clamouring and pressuring him to go for the presidency-Allah will take a lead to the Villa and will guide him aright and whatever is the obstacle ‘ALLAH’ will surmount it so that he can get there’.
Adoga Ibrahim described the Chairman of Lokoja LGA, Mohammed Ndasebe as a man full of knowledge , wisdom , vast experience and capacity to deliver his campaign promises and justify his social contract with the electorate.
He urged the citizens especially residents in Oworo land to make peaceful co-existence to permeate them by obeying constituted authorities, insisting that peaceful living with one another is a precondition to the rapid transformation of the Area.
‘ I urge the Olu of Oworo land ,his Royal Highness to accommodate all his subjects and visitors because Allah hass placed him and should see himself as a Father to all in its entirety’.
