2019: Mikang APC Exco Vows To Deliver LGA to Gov Lalong

The Exco of the All Progressive Congress in Mikang Local Government Area in Plateau state have vowed to deliver the votes of the area to the governor in the 2019 general election.
The leadership of the exco led by its chairman, Dajan JP Shepdui, said this during a courtesy call on the Commissioner for information and communication, Hon. Yakubu Dati, at the Joseph Gomwalk Secretariat, promising their unalloyed support to the APC government ahead of the Local Government elections in the state .
He said: “We came to thank Governor Simon Lalong for finding our son worthy for appointment as the mouth piece of government. We know Yakubu Dati’s performance right from the Local government when he became Council chairman so to us this elevation didn’t come to us as a surprise.
“However, our delayed to come and pay him official visit was a deliberate plan to allow him settled down for executive duty so we urge the government to fixed a day for fresh local government election that the people of Mikang are ready to deliver to APC and Governor Simon Lalong our votes come 2019 general election.”
He appealed to the government to consider giving employment to youths in the state civil service to reduce poverty in the state.
Responding, Dati applauded them for taking their time to visit and stated that they are the first local government to embark on such a visit.
Dati urged the APC exco in Mikang local government to maintain the peaceful disposition that they are known for and told them about the new road contract of dual carriageway requested by Governor Simon Lalong .
We all know that Mikang people are 100 per cent APC, so we are saying remain committed to Plateau projects of transforming the state going on by the present government.
.Dati Promises Skill Acquisition training for Youths
In a related development, Dati has charged youths to be vanguard of transformation and be productive to the society themselves and avoid drugs addiction.
Addressing the House of Congress of Tudun Wada Youths on a courtesy visit to him on Thursday, he said the government was proud of Plateau Youth and called on them to stand out as one of the best in the country.
He assured them that the state government under the able leadership of Governor Simon Lalong had already promise to partner with them to achieve success in the area of development of the state .
Hon Dati commended the Tudun Wada youths for organizing extra moral classes to teach other upcoming youths and tasked other youths to emulate them.
The Commissioner promised to involve the youths on skill acquisition programmes of the state to promote their entrepreneurial education that would make them productive to society.
The Chairman of the youths Comrade Kefas Mwalret Dagit said they decided to present themselves to government as a way of identifying with the leadership Governor Simon Lalong administration to foster unity and development of the state .
According to him,Tudun Wada which is the closest to the administrative headquarters in the state had suffered years of neglect and abandonment by the past government and would want to identify with the developmental strides of the Lalong administration.
