Following the Appeal Court ruling on Monday, which nullified the Zamfara All Progressives Congress, APC, primaries that produced the governor-elect, National and State legislators elect, the Independent National Electoral Commission, has withheld the Certificate of Return it had scheduled for Wednesday.
According to a tweet from the Commission: “INEC has been served the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Sokoto concerning the sponsoring of candidates of the APC in Zamfara and is studying the same.
“Consequently, the presentation of Certificates of Return for the Zamfara Governorship and State House of Assembly scheduled for Wednesday 27th March 2019 has been suspended”
