The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Abia state governor, Barrister Onyebuchi Ememanka has said the visibility of his principal, Okezie Ikpeazu in the national media has increased.
Ememanka stated this Wednesday while addressing members of the Correspondent’s Chapel of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), in Umuahia, the state capital.
“I owe this to you all. You have made my job much easier. Without you how could we have passed the message of the revolution taking place in the state across the country and beyond,” he said.
According to him, feedbacks reaching the administration indicate that Ndi Abia both within the country and abroad have been calling the governor to intimate him of the positive reports.
The CPS maintained that by their positive contributions, they have been working hand in glove with the administration to ensure peace and security, and attract both local and foreign investors to the state.
He argued that much as he wants them to continue along the line, they should also be ready to advice and criticise the administration constructively when necessarily to make it sustain the pace.
Responding, the Chairman of the chapel, Comrade Obinna Ibe, lauded the CPS for the visit and the commendation adding that the members will remain professional in the discharge of their duty.
Ibe appealed to the CPS to always avail the members of the government’s side of every report, adding that withholding information from journalists often lead to rumour and speculation.
