United Nation Secretary General, Antonio Gutierrez has landed in the Northeastern capital city of Borno State, Maiduguri, the hot of terror, on a 2-Day tour he scheduled to meet President Muhammadu Buhari for talks on counter-terrorism strategies under the auspices of the African Union.
He is expected to visit other terror hotspots in West African including Mali, Niger and other countries battling insurgency. This is the first visit of the UN Chief to West Africa since assumption of duties on January 1, 2017, as the ninth Secretary General.
