UEFA: Liverpool Nail Porto 2-0, Spurs Beat M/City 1-0

Goal scorers for Liverpool, Keita and Firmino celebrate

A five- minute goal from Naby Keita and a 26th minute from Roberto Firmino was all Liverpool needed to seal their home victory at Anfield against visiting FC Porto in the last eight in the UEFA Champions League matches played on Tuesday night.

Porto almost pulled one back through striker Moussa Marega but he failed to convert thereby denying his side a crucial away goal.

In another thrilling encounter, heavily dominated by the home side at their new stadium, White Hartley, a 78th minute goal from Spurs Son Heung- Min sealed their hard won victory against a sluggish Man City team.

Though Son seemed to be off-side, the referee gave him the goal without consulting VAR.

Tomorrow it would be the turn of Barcelona vs Man United and Juventus vs Ajax
