Substitute Divock Origi sealed the win for Liverpool in the 87th minute with a powerful drive into the bottom corner of the net. “If the position of the arm is natural or normal we cannot penalise a player. There is the concept of ‘deliberate’ but it is not easy to see that because I can’t say I have ever seen a defender deliberately doing a handball.
“The big challenge is the position of the arm. When the arm is totally out of the body above the shoulder it should be penalised, If the defender is making the body bigger in order to block the ball it is not fair.”

”Just a dreadful game of football. The semis showcased the quality of English football, I’m not sure what this showed. I’m sure after the post mortem people will analyse and give a clearer breakdown but as a neutral I just kind of feel deflated.
