Defensive midfielder Ngolo Kante is set to join Al-ittihad after spending seven years at Chelsea.
Having won almost any every trophy in football, the 32 year old decided to part ways with Chelsea.
Kante has lately been struggling with reoccurring injuries and made only nine appearances for Chelsea last season.
This deal means he will play alongside Karim Benzema who left Real Madrid last month to join Al-ittihad. The deal is a 3- year contract for the defensive Frenchman, worth £86M
He helped Leicester City win the famous Premier League in the 2015-16 season before moving to Stamford Bridge. At Chelsea, Kante won the Champions League, Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.
He was named the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year and the Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Year for 2016-17.
He also played a key role when France won the World Cup in 2018.
Still, Kante’s Saudi move follows Chelsea massive clear out of players under Pochentino who has already penned down up to 15 players out of the squad.
Unconfirmed reports say Saudi Arabia clubs are looking to secure a deal for Chelsea’s attacker Hakim Ziyech, Kalidou Koulibaly as goalie Eduard Mendy has already signed a deal with the club Al Ahli
Talks are said to be going on between Al Nassr and Hakim Ziyech to join the club.
The attacking midfielder look likely to sign a contract that will take him till 2026.
There is also agreement reached with Chelsea as they look to close the deal as soon as possible. This move means Chelsea’s attacking midfielder will join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Ansar.
