Suspected Cattle Rustlers Arrested In Kogi, 33 Cows Recovered

Three Suspected Cattle Rustlers have been arrested by the police in Kogi state.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the state Command of the Nigeria Police, DSP Williams Aya in a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja on Wednesday, said that 33 Cows were also recovered by the Police in the process.

Aya said that the arrest was made possible following a report that a trailer loaded with rustled cattle were heading towards Kogi State.

According to the PPRO, the operatives attached to Quick Response Unit in collaboration with Hunters Group promptly swung into action and intercepted a red colour DAF 33 trailer with registration number Bauchi B 881 KTG along Lokoja-Kabba junction road.

He disclosed that the following suspects; Musa Yakubu, Sanni Isah and Rabiu Sanni were arrested while thirty three (Cows) were recovered.

Aya said that during interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
