Incumbent governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has won the Saturday governorship election by a landslide. He won the majority votes cast in all the 21 local governments of the state. He was trailed by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, APC. Barr Paul of the Young Progressives Party, YPP and Chief George Moghalu of the Labour Party put up some showing. Governor Soludo contested on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
Other 13 parties scored between zero to 200 results in each of the LGAs. As at press time on Sunday morning officials took a break, results of 20 out of 21 LGA had been released.
