A seven-storey building under construction on Wednesday collapsed in Banana Island, Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
The incident happened at about 3 pm when some of the construction workers on site had closed for the day.
The spokesperson for the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiri, who confirmed the incident, said they rushed to the scene of the incident after receiving a distress call around 3 pm, adding that, fortunately, no life was lost.
“We got a call around 3:58 pm. We are currently trying to ascertain the claim that no one was under the rubble,” he said.
