Senegal Qualifies for AFCON Final

The Senegalese national football team have qualified for the final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt after beaten Tunisia 1-0 on Sunday. They did so dramatically in the 100 min of extra time.

The tensions soaked match almost came to a dramatic end in the 81 min when Tunisia had a penalty but they lost it.

Few minutes later in the 83rd it was Senegal’s turn, a chance to win the thrilling encounter which they dominated, but Sadio Mane who had already missed two penalties in the tournament gave way to Newcastle midfielder, Henri Saivet. He however flunked it as goalie Mousez Hassen guessed where the ball was going and punched it away.

But in the 100 minutes, Dylan Bronn own goal saved the day by giving Senegal the deserved 1-0 win.

Senegal are into the final for the second time in their history. They are yet to win the cup. This may be their chance, until they meet their opponent after the Nigeria and Algeria encounter at 8:00pm.
