The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has arrested three suspects for being in possession of eight Desktop Computer sets in Obehie, the headquarters of Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade stated this while addressing the press in his office at the headquarters of the state police command, along Bende Road, Umuahia, the state capital,
Oyebade said the computer sets had been donated by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), to Oza Secondary School, Asa in the area last year, but they got missing this year.
He also announced that a patrol team attached to Uhuro Isimiri Police Division in the area has arrested another suspect for allegedly stealing two ZINOX Laptop Computers sets belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The suspects, he added, who had all confessed to the crimes, were among 20 others being investigated by the police for alleged burglary, robbery, being in possession of a missing truck, car-snatching, and abduction.
Stating that the suspects would soon appear in courts, Oyebade commended officers and men of the command for the successes it had been recording in ensuring peace and security of lives and property in the state.
