The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Uko Nkole has handed over contractors handling two of the projects he has attracted to the constituency to the benefiting communities.
The projects, which are sponsored by the Federal Government are drilling of a water borehole and construction of a health centre in both Amuke Ohafia and Amanta Abiriba respectively in Ohafia Local Government Area.
Speaking at the projects sites, Nkole reiterated his resolve to ensure that every community in the constituency felt the impact of his presence in the House through quality representation and assisting in the development of the constituency.
He said from his records, the projects had before now been sources of serious challenges to the communities and therefore stressed that there should be protected from vandalisation and acts that could truncate their completion.
The member of the House Committee on Appropriation therefore, urged the communities to give the contractors their maximum cooperation and support to enable them complete the projects on schedule.
In a related development, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lawmaker has inaugurated another water project he attracted in Umuzomgbo Ihechiowa in Arochukwu Local Government Area.
According to him, the project, which is located in the premises of the Apostolic Church Mission (ACN), is part of his one-community-one-project agenda and is expected to end scarcity of portable water in the community.
At the occasion, he said the project was part of his commitment to provide the constituents with democracy dividends through infrastructure and human capital development, empowerment, and basic social amenities.
He used the occasion to reiterate the need for the people to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), saying without the cards, their clamour to return him to office in 2019 will be very difficult for them to achieve.
Similarly, the minister in charge of the church , Apostle (Dr.) O. N. Okoro commended Nkole and thanked God for using him as an instrument of change through his laudable achievements in office in less than three years.
Others who spoke at the occasion were Mr. Tom Ezikpe, senior legislative aide to Nkole, Hon. Emmanuel Awah, and Dr. Don Emeri, special advisers on Oil and Gas, and Grassroots Mobilisation respectively to Ikpeazu.
