Real Madrid have beaten arch rivals Barcelona to the signing of 18-year-old Turkey playmaker Arda Guler from Fenerbahce.
Known as ‘the Turkish Messi’, he has signed a six-year contract at the Bernabeu making him Real Madrid third summer signing with the likes of Jude Bellingham from Dortmund and Joselu from Espanyol.
Guler scored four goals and gave four assists last season, putting in a man-of-the-match performance in the Turkish Cup final that led to the top clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona going after the 18 year old.
Last month, he became the youngest player to score for Turkey.
Guler made his Fenerbahce debut at 16, which is very impressive and the Turkish is highly rated. He provided an assist on his first Super Lig appearance and was given the number 10 shirt last season as the star of the team. Just last month, he became the youngest player ever to score for Turkey.
This move will boost Carlo Ancelotti squad for next season despite rumours regarding his future of a potential move to Brazil as head coach.
