Ahead of the next Saturday rescheduled elections, the Wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs. Rashida Bello has appealed to women and other supporters in the state not to be demoralized by the postponement of the general elections but should remain steadfast in their focus to vote for all the APC candidates.
She made the appeal in an interactive session with All Progressives Congress (APC), women leaders across the 299 wards of the state held at Government House, Lokoja on Wednesday.
The governor’s wife also admonished women leaders across the three senatorial districts of the state to swing into action in mobilising APC supporters to commence door-to-door campaigns for the victory of all APC candidates.
She therefore urged women and youths statewide to remain resolute in promoting peace and orderliness that could facilitate the smooth conduct of the rescheduled elections advising that they should shun negative tendencies that can breed violence in their immediate communities.
Speaking at the event, the Director General APC Presidential campaign council, Kogi State and also Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja charged the women to look out for APC logo on the election day and vote for the return of President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that in the whole Africa no one has the integrity records of the President.
Also speaking the Commissioner of Women Affair and Social Development, Hon.Bolanle Amupitan implored women to go back home and preach the gospel of (4+4) for continuity and consolidation as represented by APC, according to her NO WOMAN NO NATION.
The Kogi State APC women leader, Hajia Rabiu Haruna, appreciated the governor’s wife kind gesture in reaching out to the women in the state and assured her of the women support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari come next Saturday.
