The Plateau State Commissioner for Land,Survey and Town Planning ,Hon Yakubu Dati has warned unnamed unscrupulous land grabbers issuing out land titles to stop the secret deal before the hand of law catches up with them .
Quoting the Commissioner, Mrs Yop Pam the information officer of the ministry, said Dati warned the the activities of some unscrupulous land grabbers going round town with the intent of swindling unsuspecting members of the public by promising them allocation of government land on road setbacks.
Dati said the Ministry has made it categorically clear that the state government having duly compensated for such lands and has not permitted anyone to transfer them on its behalf.
Pam said in a statement; “Anyone who transacts business with unauthorised persons on behalf of the Plateau State Ministry of Lands and Surgery does so at his or her own.”
The commissioner vowed that the state Government will prosecute any impostor when apprehended.
