The Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, CP Undie Andie has charged politicians to eschew violent and conduct themselves in a manner that would ensure peaceful conduct of the Local Government polls schedule to hold on October 10
He disclosed this during a stakeholders meeting held at the Police Officers Mess, Jos on Friday.
Andie warned again complacency, stating that police has nothing to do with vote buying, snatching of ballots boxes as been perceived publicly.
He said: In this game there is no sacred cows; the electorate is expected to go and cast their vote and go back home but let me warm those who are found of loitering around after voting that they would be arrested and punish according to law. ”
Disclosing that the police have identified all the flash points which all the security agencies would be involved in handling, he said the security agencies would “ those in the habit of fomenting trouble would be caught and made to reveal their sponsors, if any and the law will take course”
The commissioner said there is going to be restriction of movements and urged the politicians to respect the rules of the game.
