The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has postponed its governorship primaries earlier scheduled for Friday 19 and Saturday 20 to Tuesday 23.
According to the party;s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbodinyan, the postponement was occasioned by some exigencies beyond the control of the party.
He urged party members to take note of the new date and take cognizance of the National Cwenter for Disease Control guidelines on social distancing during the conduct of the primaries.
Meanwhile the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has fixed June 27 for the submission of list of candidates for the elections and reminded political parties that the date is sacrosanct,
