An Appeal Court on Friday night dismissed the People Democratic Party , PDP, application seeking to stop Plateau State Electoral Commission, PLASIEC from conducting Local Government Elections on Saturday in Plateau State.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Jos , PDP counsel Edward Pwajok ,SAN, approach the appellate court seeking an Order of Injunction restraining Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) from conducting elections into the 17 local government councils of the state.
The court ruled that Justice Ishaku Kunda in his judgement didn’t breached the Constitution of federal republic of Nigeria by maintaining that PDP failed to conduct congress into wards,LGs and state .
The judge who gave the ruling by 10 p.m on Friday, described the entire exercise as lacking in merit and dismissed it for incompetency.
