Former Nigeria Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Monday in Freetown held his first official press conference as head of commonwealth elections observer mission to Saturday June 12, 2023 elections in Sierra Leone
He reminded politicians in the country of the “ 2 decades of peace since the end of the war in 2002, declared by late President Ahmad Tejan Kabba and encouraged all Sierra Leoneans to cherish and maintain the peace, to avoid unnecessary turmoil, in view of the country’s past civil war”
Sierra Leoneans will go to the polls this Saturday, 24, June, 2023, with 13 political parties, competing for President, MPs, Mayors and councillors, with 3.3 million registered voters
