Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi and his Vice-Presidential candidate, Datti Baba- Ahmed were conspicuously absent at the unveiling of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, list in Abuja on Wednesday.
No reason was given for the absence. Obi, however later tweeted that he was attending the 52nd ICAN annual conference in Abuja. In the tweet, he posted photo ups with dignitaries at the opening of the event, one of which he is seen with Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and other dignitaries.


At the Abuja event, Labour Party released the list of its Presidential Campaign Council list consisting of 1,234 members during a press conference.
Dr. Doyin Okupe who was announced as the Director General of the Campaign Council declared that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi has the capacity to defeat other candidates in the upcoming election. Okupe failed to answer the calls put to his phone, for clarification. Details later…
