Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has shaken off his disqualification by the All Progressives Congress from contesting party primaries scheduled for June 22 and defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
A party source in Benin-City, the Edo State capital confided in THISAGE that the governor collected his membership card of the PDP at Ward 4, Oredo Local Government at 6pm on Friday.
He stated that the governor is moving into the PDP with all the 18 Local Government Chairmen in Edo State together with 12 lawmakers in the State Assembly.
