Nigeria’s Presidency has revealed that the location of suspected armed kidnappers of some students in katsina state have been surrounded by troops of the Nigerian Military.

Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, made this known while speaking on a radio interview.

Mallam Shehu said massive deployment of troops were sent to rescue the abducted children, adding that the military commanders in that axis have the coordinates of where they believe the kidnappers and those held hostage by the bandits are.

He further revealed that the students held captive are far fewer than the number of staff members that was earlier reported to be missing.

The number of the kidnapped students is still a subject of controversy.
