Former two time Governor of Jigawa State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sule Lamido has given an assurance that Nigeria will witness massive development under his leadership if elected president of the federal republic of Nigeria come 2019 general elections.
Lamido, a presidential aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) also disclosed that his aspiration to become next president of Nigeria is to restore the lost hope as a result of the monumental failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The presidential aspirant who gave the assurance while speaking at a stakeholders meeting with PDP members in Lokoja, Kogi State capital, said that the present administration of All Progressives Congress (APC) has dehumanized Nigerians.
He explained that the present administration has returned Nigeria to ethnic, religious bigotry, adding that hundreds of Nigerians have been killed.
Lamido decried the harassment and intimidation of the opposition parties by the ruling APC, stressing that the 16 years rule of the People’s Democratic Party gave room of freedom to all Nigerians to make impute in the nation’s polity.
“Where we are now PDP is relevant. We should not make mistake of 2015. Let us work for the unity of our party and country.
“My aspiration is that of restoring hope to Nigerian. Before anything we are human beings, Nigeria should be federation of human beings be it Hausa, Fulani, Igbo, Edo and Yoruba.”
He lamented that the government that claimed to be fighting corruption is stealing with impunity.
“They are stealing in the presidency, they are stealing at NNPC and massive corruption everywhere”
