New Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Pastor Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye was on early Friday morning installed by the Ogbomosho King Makers.
Their action Patmos Media Line reports beats a court order restraining his inauguration on Thursday as it has not been served on all parties in the case including the State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the King Makers and Oba Olaoye himself.
It was learnt that coronation rites were exclusively administered to Oba Olaoye in the wee hours of Friday at the Palace while men were scoring in bed.
It is not clear as at Press time what title Oba Olaoye would take.
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye had ordered the Oba who until his announcement as Oba was the Regional Overseer of RCCG in New York, USA to hand over immediately which was flamboyantly complied with as seen in viral videos where a women rendered his praise as a king.
The new Oba immediately after his installation at Ogbomosho in Nigeria on Friday morning addressed the thousands of his citizens who thronged to the Palace on hearing the special trumpet (Khakaki) of the Oba rendering the air.
A top source in the Palace told Patmos Media Line on questioning why the usual bleating of cows at slaughter was not heard, laughed and said we should wait as Amala and Gbegiri, a delicacy from the tribe will be served in hours from the time of interview.
He also hinted that Oba Laoye will pay a courtesy call on Alagba, a 151 year old Tortoise that had lived in the Palace with many Obas.
Oba Laoye succeeds the last Soun Ajagungbade, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi 111 who was a successful Jos based businessman.
Some groups including members if the Ghandi family had filled a motion perpetually restraining the Oyo State Government; Ogbomoso King Makers and other perceived agents from installing Pastor Ghandi Olaoye as King until the hearing of the substantive suit which was granted by the court but the delayed service of the court order has thrown the court order in a limbo.
Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has had sleepless nights on the next Okere of Shaki; the Soun of Ogbomoso and the Alaafin of Oyo but has now succeeded in clearing two hurdles leaving that of the new Alaafin.
