Maranatha University, Lagos will on Thursday, April 27 hold its maiden guest lecture with a topic on robotics and artificial intelligence.
The event, holding at the multipurpose hall of the university, will kick -off at noon with the topic: Education Design and Delivery in the World of Robots and Artificial Intelligence.
According to the management of the University, the Director of National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, IT hub at the University of Lagos, Dr Victor Odumuyiwa, is the guest lecturer.
Dr. Victor Odumuyiwa, a former Director of the Centre for Information Technology and Systems (CITS) currently drives tech innovations at UNILAG, where he is also a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Sciences.
In addition, Dr Odumuyiwa is the current president of the West African chapter of the International Society for Knowledge Organisation (ISKO-WA), and the current chairman of the Association of Massachusetts Institute of Technology Trained African University Lecturers (AMTAUL).
He is a member of the Advisory Board of Data Science Nigeria, a member of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and also a member of Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN).
He develops responsible Artificial Intelligence for Natural Language Processing with applications in sentiment analysis, recommender systems, log mining, cyber security, and education. He is an IBM certified security intelligence analyst, application security analyst and IOT cloud developer as well as a member of the Global EPIC eco-system centred on innovation and cyber security.
