With a 2-1 loss to Leicester at Old Trafford on Tuesday, Manchester United gifted Man City the much awaited Premier League title. City would have won it anyway, had they defeated Chelsea on their Etihad stadium match on Saturday, which they lost 2-1. With an 80 points lead and three matches to go, City has an edge over rival ManU, which stands at 70 points with also three matches to go.  2020 Champions, Liverpool still has four matches to go but stands at a paltry 57 points, thereby leaving ManU and a re-energized Chelsea, courtesy of magical manager Tuchel, top contestants for the top four, alongside Leicester.

Teenager Thomas gave the Foxes lead with stunning volley, but the Red Devils Greenwood’s tidied it with a n equalizer. Soyuncu headed in to restore lead. Attempts by Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to redefine the match by introducing strikers, Bruno Fernandes, Edison Cavani and Marcus Rashford proved abortive. He had rested them alongside Pogba for their upcoming Europa final against Villareal.
