ManCity Win 4 Consecutive EPL Title, Haaland Gets Golden Boot, Foden Player of the Season

Manchester City are EPL champions again for the fourth consecutive times thanks to their 3-1 crushing of West Ham, City, which took them to top of the premiership that went down to the wire on a day rival Arsenal was also on the reckoning.

But the gunners lost gallantly in the match with Everton which they won 2-1.

In one of the last match day matches, Liverpool sanctioned Wolves 2-0.

Tottenham beat Sheffield United, 3-0 and earned an Europa League spot

Caicedo scores from halfway line as Chelsea also secured a place in Europe with a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth.

Newcastle beat Brentford 2-1 and Manchester United beat Brighton 2-0.

Forest beat Burnley, 2-1 thanks to a Wood double, while a Mateta treble helped Palace in thrashing Aston Villa, 5-0.

With the way the league ended, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa will play in the Champions League, while Tottenham Hotspur will be in the Europa League.

If Manchester City win the FA Cup final, then Chelsea will be in the Europa League and Newcastle will be in the Conference League.

But if Manchester United win the FA Cup, then the Red Devils will be in the Europa League, Chelsea will be in the Conference League and Newcastle miss out entirely..

Meanwhile, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland wins his second consecutive Premier League Golden Boot with 27 goals in 31 games.

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was second with 22 and Newcastle striker Alexander Isak was next with 21. Phil Foden was joint fourth with 19.

A day before, English Premier League announced that Manchester City’s Phil Foden was voted the Player of the Season for the 2023/2024 campaign. Foden’s outstanding performances, which included 17 goals and 8 assists in 34 league appearances, played a pivotal role in City’s pursuit of an unprecedented fourth consecutive EPL title.

Foden’s versatility has been a major asset for Pep Guardiola’s side, as he has excelled in both central and wide positions. With 25 goals and 11 assists across all competitions, the young Englishman has proven himself to be one of the most influential players in the league.

Reacting to his win, Foden stated: “I am extremely proud to have been named the Premier League’s Player of the Season. It is an honour to have been nominated alongside so many other exceptional players who have had remarkable seasons.” He added, “I’ve been very satisfied with my performances this season and thrilled to have contributed with goals and assists throughout the campaign.”

Foden topped an eight-man shortlist that included fellow City teammate Erling Haaland, as well as Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins. This marks the fifth consecutive year that a Manchester City player has claimed the prestigious award, following in the footsteps of Ruben Dias, Haaland, and two-time winner Kevin De Bruyne.
