Looters are having a free day looting palliatives stored in warehouses across many states of the country. States like Lagos, Cross Rivers, Kaduna, Plateau, Kwara, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Ekiti, Osun, Ogun are currently witnessing a high level looting of the palliatives donated by CANCOVID, a private sector driven initiative, comprising banks, corporations, manufacturing and other businesses to assist states in the country handle the feeding of their people during the economic hardship unleashed by the viral pandemic.
What appears is that many of the states with the singular example of Delta state, which disappointed some of the looters whop found empty warehouses, many of the states kept the donations for long duration that some like ‘garri’ caking. Foodstuffs like rice, pastries, sugar, beverages and gallons of cooking oil and flour were found in many of the warehouses and looted.
In some other cases, Local Governments like Ejigbo in Lagos and the home of Senator Folarin in Ibadan were stripped of skill acquisition and small scale support facilities like sewing machines, tricycles and farming implements.
