The Kogi State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has dismissed alleged plan by some individuals to incite party members in Mozum Ward against its Chairman, Mohammed Gambo, describing the actions as null and void.
In a statement by Media Adviser to the PDP Chairman, Abu Michael, said the alleged actions of Ward Executives, who are yet to be inaugurated, is a gross violation of the party’s constitution.
According to the statement “The party has set up a committee to investigate the matter and take disciplinary action against those involved”
The statement affirmed that Hon. Muhammed Gambo remains the PDP Chairman, urging members and the public to disregard misinformation.
It noted that Gambo’s leadership has been exemplary, with no petitions filed against him.
The statement attributed the actions of a former Lawmaker, now in APC, and some disgruntled elements as baseless attempts to derail the party’s growth.
The Mozum Ward PDP has also denied any involvement, with members urged to remain calm as Gambo continues as Kogi State Chairman.
