Kogi Gov: Over 120 PDP, ADC Members Defects to APC in Yagba West LGA

The Chairman of Yagba West Local Government, Hon. Pius Kolawole at the weekend, received over 120 defectors to the All Progressives Congress

The defectors who were former members of the People’s Democratic party(PDP) and the African Democratic Party(ADC) declared that they were motivated to join the party in order to work for the victory of Usman Ododo in the November governorship polls in Kogi state.

They said that the leadership style of inclusive governance and commitment of the Chairman of the Local Government to Ododo’s project inspired them to take the decision to support the project.

The spokes person for the group, Chief Adeyemi Olagoke, said since Pius became the chairman of the local government, he has tried his best to carry everybody along irrespective of party differences

He promised that more people will be joining the party henceforth to support the candidate of the APC, Usman Ododo to win in November election as they are poised to embark on house-to-house mobilization.

The Executive Chairman of Yagba West, Pius Kolawole while receiving the defectors into the APC family, thanked them for the hard decision taken and assured them that they will enjoy equal rights and privileges alongside the old members of the party.

The Council chairman further reiterated that his support for Ododo becoming the governor of the State is for the good of the people of Kogi State, because it will allow for stability, continuity and consolidation.

The council boss who was overwhelmed with joy, expressed optimism that Okun people will enjoy more benefits under Ododo’s government, especially with the establishment of Kogi State University, Kabba and College of Education Technical, Mopa among other expectations to come to the zone
