The Kogi state Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has called for the immediate transfer of State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakim Busari and the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor James Apam before the November 16 governorship polls.
The call was contained in the resolution of the Lokoja local government council of PDP reached at its enlarged stakeholders meeting recently.
The party insisted that the Police Commissioner and the Resident Electoral Commissioner must go before November election.
The party in a communiqué signed by Alhaji Abubakar Idris, the Lokoja Local Government Party Chairman, also warned against the deployment of Dr. Amina Zakari to the state to oversee the polls, insisting that on no condition must she be allowed to be part of the Kogi State Governorship election.
According to the party, it has to raise the alarm for the deployment of the officers as their actions are no longer in the interest of credible conduct of the forthcoming governorship election.
The PDP in the communiqué also passed vote of confidence on the Nigeria Army Command and the Department of State Security Service in Lokoja, saying over the years they have proven to be above board in their conduct professionally.
The party restated its commitment to ensuring victory for its candidate, Engr. Musa Wada and asked members not to rest on their oars, but work round the clock to ensure victory for the party.
