The management of Federal University, Lokoja, has declared Lecture-free days effective from 12noon on Tuesday to Wednesday, 19th February, 2025, in honour of the souls of five students of the institution who loss their lives in a ghastly motor accident that occurred in Felele axis, along Lokoja-Abuja road on Monday.
This was announced in a statement signed by Mr. Vincent Ifedayo Ojo, Deputy Registrar, Human Resources, on behalf of the Registrar of the University and made available to Journalists in Lokoja on Tuesday.
According to the statement “all university activities will be observed on a low-key, while the institution’s
flag will fly at half -mast as a symbol of mourning.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, friends, and the entire university community during this difficult time.
“May God grant them merciful judgement and rest their souls in eternal peace.
“Once again with heavy hearts we mourn the tragic loss of five of our promising students,who were taken away from us too soon in a fatal trailer accident.
