After spending 64 days in captivity, six kidnapped school boys of Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, have regained their freedom Indications have emerged that the police have rescued the school students in a neighboring state, Ondo on Friday afternoon
They were released at Aboto Creek in Ilaje local government of Ondo state.
Coming shortly after Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at a recent public function in Lagos gave assurances to the grieving parents who had paid a ransom of N31 million and state Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, whom he said had worried him with several phone calls for assistance, just as the DSS, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the armed forces, the breaking news has brought big relief to all and sundry.
Reports say the students would first be taken to the Ondo State police command of the Nigerian Police Force and then to the keep of state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu at the government house. From there they will begin their journey to Lagos and reunite with their family.
