A stalwart of the Democratic People Party ,DPP, Abubakar Kabiru Garba has dumped the party to join the African Democratic Congress ,ADC , with his supporters in Jos North-North constituency, to battle for the position of Former Deputy Speaker, Ibrahim Baba-Hassan as promised loyalty to the new party. Garba is eying the Jos North constituency in the 9th Assembly of the Plateau State House of Assembly .
He gave lack of structure and transparency in the affairs and ADC’s vibrant program for the youth as reasons for his defection.
He said the 1580 students have benefited from his skills acquisition /empowerment programme in Jos North Constituency of Plateau State would be without platform to express their franchise in the coming poll if he failed to join the ADC.
Garba in an interview with our correspondence in Jos North ,Local Government Area on Sunday disclosed that he the skill acquisitions projects aimed of reduce poverty among the growing youth population in the state.
He stressed that his slogan to the electorates is to ensure he promote the tenets of democracy and remain committed to the plight of vulnerable people in the society, especially people living with disabilities.
The following wards in Jos North that benefit from the skill acquisition programme include, Ibrahim Kasina ward ,1000,students ,Abba Nashehu 200 students ,Ali Kazaure 150 students and Naraguta B 500 ,Jenta Apata 200 ,Jos Jarawa 200 and when given the mandate more women and youth will enjoy .
