Worried by the pace of frequent herders and farmers clashes, the chairman of Omala Local Government Council of Kogi, Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh has concluded arrangement for the establishment of a police Station in Bagana and Agbenema communities to curb crimes and criminality in the areas.
The chairman gave the indication on Tuesday when the police Area Commander in charge of Ankpa / Omala / Olamaboro Federal Constituency ACP Suleiman Ishola paid him a working visit in his office at Abejukolo, headquarters of the local government area.
The Area Commander who commended the council boss for his commitment to fighting insecurity in his domain, urged him to sustain the spirit to enable peace and security of lives and property reign supreme in the zone.
He lauded him for the ongoing perimeter fencing and renovation of Omala Divisional Police Headquarters in Abejukolo, Agbenema Police Station which is almost completed and the proposed Bagana Police Station
According to the police boss ” We will give you all the necessary support and cooperation you deserve to enable you succeed in this guise”.
Responding, the Executive Chairman thanked the ACP for the visit while reiterating his commitment to security of lives and properties.
Alhaji Aboh avowed that, “my administration will not relent in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the area.
“Our attention to security is hinged on the Security gains of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello whom we are emulating.
“We thank God for the cooperation we have received from the good people of Omala Local Government and all the security outfits in the area.
” I further implore all stakeholders in the security architecture to keep on with their good thinking, prayers and operational tactics for a sustainable peace, because security is the business of all” He said.
