Hardship: Ododo Lauds AUTOGAS Nigeria Initiative, Promises Logistic Support

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi state has praised the coming on board of Automotive Gas Nigeria Services Limited with an assurance that his administration would provide enabling environment to facilitate its effective operation in the state.

The governor affirmed that Compressed Natural Gass Initiative of the AUTOGAS Nigeria remains the only alternative to reduce the current hardship being experienced in Nigeria as a result of fuel subsidy removal.

The governor while speaking at the Compressed Natural Gass Stakeholders Forum held in Lokoja on Monday, promised to allocate land and provide other logistics support to AUTOGAS Nigeria Limited for its successful operation in the state.

Ododo who was represented by the Secretary to Government of Kogi state, Mrs Folashade Ayoade, urged the people of the state to take advantage of Compressed Natural Gass Initiative to better their living standard.

He enumerated benefits accruing from Compressed Natural Gass Initiative to include; provision of employment opportunities and reducing of fuel subsidy removal hardship among others.

The governor described the CNG Stakeholders Forum with the Theme: Driving Sustainable Energy: “The Future of CNG in Kogi” as a welcome development capable of realising the goal behind the establishment of AUTOGAS Nigeria.

Earlier in her welcome address, The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Automotive Gas Nigeria Services Limited, Hajiya Maryam Ibrahim, said that the goal of the company has been to revolutionize the way vehicles are fueled by providing cleaner and more environmentally friendly options.

According her “Our mission is to provide top-tier CNG conversation training and consultation services, supporting the transition to cleaner and more efficient automotive industry. We empower individuals, skills, and infrastructure needed to make the switch to sustainable energy solutions”
