The President of Total Women Foundation (TOWOF), Mrs Felicia Gyang has lamented the neglect of women in the scheme of things in the country and canvassed their empowerment through training and capacity building.
She that women have a key role to play in finding a lasting solution to the problems confronting the world today.
According to her the TOWOF is working hard to ensure that the women need more support to enable them impact positively on the well-being of their husbands and promote peaceful co-existence with the increasing crime in the society .
She said: “I tell women that your husband is your first born, we are asking our members to pray for the country and their families the same way they pray to their children .
“As I stand here I believe that the blessings of God is upon my life. Women today are also considered as Elders in the church. They are also missionary in most of our villages while who are into this work of evangelism are either married or single, doing the work of God. “
Mrs Gyang says women are impacting positively in the society through the work of evangelism.
