Governor Bello Constitutes Minimum Wage Committee

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state in his commitment to improve workers’ welfare has approved the constitution of a fourteen-man (14-man) committee for negotiation on the implementation of the New National Minimum Wage in the state.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Communication Strategy, Kingsley Fanwon announced this in a Statement made available to Journalists in Lokoja on Monday.

Açcording to the Statement, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Secretary to the State Government will serve as the Chairperson of the committee.

Other members of the committee include, Elder (Mrs.) Deborah Ogunmola, Head of Civil service

Hon. Ibrahim Muhammed Sani (SAN), Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters

Hon. Asiwaju Asiru Idris, Special Adviser to the Governor on Finance, Budget and Economic Planning

Engr. Abubakar Ohere Sadiq, Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs

Hon. Momoh Jibrin, State Accountant-General

Hon. Okala Yakubu, State Auditor-General

Hon. Usman Ododo, Local Government Auditor-General

Comrade Akeji Yusuf, Chairman Joint Negotiating Council

Comrade Tade Adeyemi, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE)
